Operations Manager Fritidsbanken

Fritidsbanken is a new and unique role with great development potential.

Here you will both develop and lead the operations forward and ensure that the daily operations run smoothly.

Fritidsbanken contributes to strengthening the community by getting more people moving. You will be responsible for making Fritidsbanken visible and strengthening its presence in Sollentuna. The assignment includes designing a long-term and sustainable plan for the development of Fritidsbanken across the entire municipal group. The strategy should encompass everything from lending to partners and marketing. Come and make a difference!

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the operations and steer towards set goals while continuously evaluating the work and maintaining statistics and reporting.
• Be responsible for marketing through various channels and coordinate study visits from schools, associations, organizations, and municipalities.
• Register equipment and perform other administrative tasks included in the assignment.
• Support the reception of various target groups, such as individuals in labor market initiatives, daily activities, employment, interns, and summer workers.
• Build an attractive environment in the premises that inspires lending, activity, and movement.
• Ensure that Fritidsbanken has the staffing required to provide good service, a positive reception, and generous opening hours tailored to the needs of borrowers.
• Develop collaborations with other departments within the municipality.
• Ensure that the operations are outward-facing and, in collaboration with other actors, create various events such as trial activities and outreach initiatives.

Your Competence and Experience

• Experience in development work or managing various projects.
• Strong interest in and preferably some background in sports and outdoor activities.
• Experience in a service profession with customer contact; preferably in a supervisory role.
• Relevant post-secondary education or experience deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Driver's license (B).
• Good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is advantageous if you have:

• Worked in a politically governed organization.
• Experience, ability, and knowledge to perform minor repairs of sports and leisure equipment.

Personal Qualities

To succeed in this role, it is important that you are structured and can independently drive the work forward. You are skilled at building good relationships and collaborating with various customers and colleagues in a professional manner.

The work requires a broad network, so it is important that you have the ability to create many points of contact. You need to be able to take your own initiative and plan your time effectively. Since the position involves daily contact with many different people, high social competence and a good reception are required.

We are looking for someone who is unpretentious, has a service-oriented attitude, and a hands-on mentality, but who can also structure and manage administrative tasks.

Working hours are primarily weekdays, but evening and weekend work may occur.

Transport is part of the job, so a B driver's license is required.

About the Culture and Leisure Office

The Culture and Leisure Office is responsible for Sollentuna Municipality's cultural and leisure facilities such as libraries, sports facilities, swimming and bathing facilities, art halls, cultural schools, Edsberg Castle, and youth centers, etc. We also provide service and grants to associations within the municipality.

The Culture and Leisure Office is a relatively small department within the municipality, which requires versatility among employees but also provides great opportunities to truly make a difference in operations. We work to create space for both organized and spontaneous leisure for all residents of the municipality.
